Winter is finally here and it’s time to hit the family vacation cabins! Maybe you are tired of the old layout and design you’ve had for the past few years, well it’s time to spice things up. Check out this list of beautiful, warm cabin decorations and styles. You are sure to find something you like!
This cabin’s attention to detail is what outshines everything else. They have incorporated an aged sled as a coffee table, old wooden skis as a coat, beanie or scarf rack, and the contrasting light and dark wood logs used on the walls really add depth!
Most cabins look so small and cramped because people love to add as much furniture and decor in there as physically possible. Well if you have the extra space, use it to your advantage! Cabins can be cozy, organized & spacious all at the same time.
The earthiness of the woods used in this space paired with that vintage grey blue sofa and accessories really is jaw dropping. They also incorporated some different metals, like iron for the the canopy above the bed and the copper hammered candle plate on the coffee table. We would never want to leave this cabin!
This German cabin decided to go with more of the “country side” theme. If you are one who really loves all the cozy, country decorations- this is definitely the design to go with!
One thing you can never go wrong with for a space like this is leathers, stones and woods! This person has everything incorporated to create one mesmerizing cabin.
Most people tend to use a lot of wood while styling and decorating their cabin. As you can see these owners did use some wood in their design, but directed most of the attention to the natural stone bricks and slabs.
Why not add some color to your cabin? It doesn’t have to be browns, tans a greys. Like the homeowners above, who added a nice touch of green to their Georgia cabin.
If you don’t have a lot of space but are determined to create a lovely, cozy little cabin for your family and friends- don’t worry! Just take a look at how the people above wisely used their small space to create a close knit area to create memories in.
This one is beautiful! They really wanted everything to match nicely and compliment each other rather than just combining a ton of random, outdoorsy looking things together. Every detail from the slightly green/blue stained wood coffee table, to the diamond stitched pattern on the sofa, to the big furry foot stools… Everything looks luxurious, while at the same time being rustic.
Southwestern design can actually find a perfect place to fit into a cabin. Take a look at the handmade Indian clothing and bags hung up on the wall behind the sofa, and the animal pelt above the fireplace. Not to mention that giant aztec patterned area rug! The right accessories and decor can totally change the whole feel of the room.
This cabin is neater, nicer and more organized than most others. They didn’t necessarily want a bunch of fur rugs, taxidermy, or old wooden skis as decor. Instead they took a tasteful take on a wood cabin, with the “less is more” motto in mind.
Sometimes simplicity is the best way to go with your design in your cabin. Nothing with distract from the view of the rolling trees outside your big windows!
The thing that pulls this cabin all together has to be that buffalo taxidermy. Something about those furry wall hangings just scream “cabin getaway.” If you have your basic cabin all set up but you feel it is lacking just a little bit in coziness, add a nice taxidermy to the room!
I think the view in this room is more beautiful than any kind of decor they used! We truly appreciate the use of plaid fabrics, and warm colors like red, green and blue. This truly maximizes the traditional cabin feel, and also adds endless comfort and coziness to this space.
One thing we haven’t seen much of is proper lighting in cabins! If anything, the lighting should be dimmed down and the fireplace should be crackling. Take a look at how they really set the mood in this space by lighting the fireplace and a few candles, and dimming the lights down to a warm glow. All they need is a glass of wine and someone to chat with on that lovely bed!
