One of the things I love most about the south of France are the bright colors influenced by Mediterranean living and the proximity (in the west) to Spain. This before and after on Marie Claire Maison is from Marseille, a sizable port city about half-way along the south coast.
The terrace serves as a central living space which also connects two areas of the house, so the family wanted to make it more usable and beautiful.
